The Jura CLARIS Smart+ (article 24232, sold in Australia as 24232OS) is the RFID-chipped cartridge for Jura machines with the Intelligent Water System. The machine detects the filter, routes water through it and tells you when its capacity is used up. How long it lasts

After fitting: No manual reset: the RFID chip is read when the cartridge is fitted, the machine switches to filter mode and rinses, and it prompts for a change when capacity is used. On models with the filter extension, twist the old cartridge anticlockwise to remove, clip the extension onto the new one, push in and twist clockwise until it clicks.
Flow slows and taste drops off as the filter fills up. Changing on time is the whole point of the filter.
