Robot vacuum replacement part basics
Genuine or compatible?
Robot vacuums use several consumables at once: a washable filter, a main roller brush, one or two side brushes, mop cloths and, for docks that empty themselves, dust bags. Genuine parts come from the maker's own store (Roborock, ECOVACS, Dreame, eufy all sell direct in Australia); compatible kits are common and usually fine for brushes and cloths, while a poor-fitting filter lets dust straight through to the motor. Each robot's page lists every part it takes so you can replace them as a set.
Where the model number is
Turn the robot over: the label on the underside gives the model name (S7 MaxV, T30 Omni, X40 Ultra) and a type code. The app's device-info screen shows the same name.
Why change it on time
Filters clog and lose suction in a few months; brushes wear flat and start missing edges; side brushes bend and flick dirt away. Makers quote three to six months for filters and brushes and one to two months for mop cloths. A worn part costs more in missed dirt than it does to replace.
