Privacy
FitMatch is run by LOTHAIR PTY LTD, Sydney, Australia. This page says what we collect, why, and how to have it removed. It follows the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Searches and page views. The model numbers you type, the photos' extracted text (not the photos, which are discarded after reading), which pages you view and which seller links you click. These are tied to a random first-party cookie, not to your name.
- No IP addresses. We never store your IP address. Abuse limits use a salted hash that cannot be turned back into an address.
- Email, only if you give it. For replacement reminders, a “we found your model” note, sign-in links, or a reply to a fit report. We do not buy or sell lists.
- Your appliances, if you sign in and add them to My devices, so reminders can be dated.
Why
To match your appliance to the right part, to send the reminders you asked for, to see which models people search for so we research them, and to check the site works. We do not build advertising profiles.
Cookies and analytics
One first-party cookie identifies your browser session for a year; one records how you first arrived (search, link, ad). If Google Analytics is enabled it runs with IP anonymisation. Seller links may carry an affiliate tag; the seller's own cookies then apply on their site.
Who sees it
Our hosting and database providers (Vercel, Supabase), the email service that sends reminders, and the AI provider that reads a label photo when you use photo search. Each processes data only to provide that service. Nothing is sold.
Your choices
- Every email has an unsubscribe link, and email preferences let you stop all mail.
- Sign in and remove any appliance from My devices at any time.
- Ask us to delete your email and everything tied to it; we do so within 30 days.
- Raw analytics rows are kept for 24 months, then removed.
Contact
Write to us through the “Tell us what you see” form on any model page, or by email to the address in the footer once one is published. We answer privacy requests within 30 days.
