Fisher & Paykel's 847200 is the internal twist-lock cartridge for the FPWF1 filter system in 2015-onward RF and E series ice and water fridges. F&P rates it at 386 litres and recommends changing it every six months, with the indicator reset by holding two control-panel buttons for four seconds. It is IAPMO-certified and the filter must be flushed after fitting.

Fitting it
A few minutes, no tools. Watch it done, then follow the steps.
- 1Find the filter hatch between the two produce bins inside the fresh food compartment and lift it to reach the filter.
- 2Pull the old cartridge out of its casing using the filter tool under the hatch.
- 3Line up the ports on the new filter with the holder, insert gently and turn to the right until it stops, then clip it up into place and close the cover.
- 4Flush the new filter: run water through the dispenser for several minutes until it runs clear.
