How long it lasts

After fitting: Shark: rinse filters in water only (no soap), squeeze out and air-dry for at least 24 hours before refitting; a damp filter can damage the motor. No reset.
Flow slows and taste drops off as the filter fills up. Changing on time is the whole point of the filter.

Fitting it
A few minutes, no tools. Watch it done, then follow the steps.
- 1Unplug the vacuum and lift the dust cup off.
- 2Unclip the filter grille low on the front of the base and lift it off.
- 3Pull the old HEPA filter out, push the new one in and refit the grille until it clicks.
- 4Rinse the HEPA filter yearly and let it dry 24 hours before refitting.
