- Replace every 2 months

- Fits 26 models

The BRITA Intenza is the water filter for Bosch and Siemens bean-to-cup machines: Bosch sells it in Australia as 17000705 (retail code TCZ7003), Siemens calls the same cartridge TZ70003. It sits in the water tank, has an aroma ring on the base that you set to your water hardness, and Bosch rates it for 50 litres or two months, whichever comes first. The machine tracks the filter and asks for a change on the display. It slows scale rather than stopping it: you still descale, and you take the filter out first.
Reduces
- limescale / hardness
- impurities in the water (BSH manual wording)
- Interval
- Always remove the filter before descaling the appliance and replace after 50 litres (400 cups of coffee or 1000 cups of espresso), or every two months
- Purpose
- Protect the appliance from limescale deposits and improves taste and aroma of coffee

- Interval (manual)
- Change the water filter after 2 months at the latest. Observe the display messages.
- Descaling still needed
- With a water filter you need to descale your appliance less frequently
- Preparation
- Immerse the water filter in a glass of water with the opening facing up and press the sides together lightly until no more air bubbles rise to the surface; use the measuring spoon to press the water filter firmly into the water tank

Where to buy
Every seller we track for this part, cheapest first. Genuine is the manufacturer's own part; compatible is a third-party filter made to fit. Prices are re-checked daily where the seller publishes them. Last checked 1 August 2026.
How long it lasts
Replace every 2 months — the appliance's filter light tells you when.
After fitting: Register the new filter in the machine so the counter restarts: on display models open Care & maintenance, choose INTENZA filter, then Replace and follow the prompts (the machine rinses the filter); on button-panel models select the filter option in the settings menu and confirm. Remove the filter before running a descale cycle.
Flow slows and taste drops off as the filter fills up. Changing on time is the whole point of the filter.

Fitting it
A few minutes, no tools. Watch it done, then follow the steps.
- 1Take the water tank out of the machine (built-in CTL/CT models: open the front door and lift the tank out on the left) and tip out the old cartridge.
- 2Turn the aroma ring on the base of the new Intenza cartridge to A, B or C for your water hardness (A for soft to medium, C for very hard).
- 3Stand the cartridge in a glass of water, opening up, and squeeze the sides gently until no more bubbles rise.
- 4Push the cartridge firmly into the fitting in the bottom of the tank, using the measuring spoon as a press, then fill the tank with fresh water and slide it back in.
- 5On the display open Care & maintenance, choose INTENZA filter, then Replace, and let the machine rinse the filter. It now counts down two months or 50 litres.
